Episode summary
Most coffee brands fight over light, medium, and dark. Java Factory decided to go 52 steps further. In this episode of Liftoff with Jeanniey Walden, Java Factory’s Lyndsey reveals the company’s run at a Guinness World Record for the most coffee flavors released by a single company in one year, one brand-new flavor every week for 52 weeks straight.
The weekly drops start Monday, June 29, with Sunday Pancakes, a pancake batter and maple flavored coffee, followed by Candied Pecan in week two. From there it’s a new flavor every single week, with partner brands joining along the way.
Behind the fun is a real process. Java Factory develops and tests everything at its New Jersey location, working with a flavor house to bring in samples and running constant taste tests. Each cup keeps it simple: just coffee and flavoring, no sweeteners, in a standard K-cup delivering about 80 to 100 mg of caffeine.
New to flavored coffee? Lyndsey’s picks to start are blueberry shortcake, s’mores, and French toast, before you graduate to the wilder end with peanut butter and jelly or bananas and cream. You can shop the flavors and follow the launch at javafactory.com and Walmart.com.

If you want to watch me run around the house at night, I’m going to drink coffee right before bed. You are not going to believe what we’re talking about right now. It’s coffee, but not just any coffee. I’m here with Lyndsey from Java Factory. We’re going to break the Guinness Book of World Records, which I’m going to let her tell you. So, Lyndsey, thank you so much for being on the show.
Lyndsey: Yes, thank you for having us. We are so excited to be aligning with the Guinness Book of World Records to achieve an award for the most flavors put out by a coffee company in one year.
Jeanniey Walden: That is so incredible. To get in the Guinness Book of World Records, how many coffee flavors do you need to put out in the course of 52 weeks?
Lyndsey: Yeah, so we are putting out one flavor every week for 52 weeks.
Jeanniey Walden: Oh my gosh. Okay, so there’s like light roast, medium roast, dark roast.
Lyndsey: Yeah, so we are taking it well beyond that. Java Factory is already known for shaking up the coffee aisle. We do things like blueberry shortcake, happy birthday flavored coffee, and bananas and cream, but we’re taking it 52 steps forward. Starting Monday, June 29th, we’re launching one flavor every week for 52 weeks straight.
Jeanniey Walden: I see all these coffee flavors here. But someone was telling me these are not the flavors, you’re launching even new flavors on top of that.
Lyndsey: Yeah, absolutely. We are already in the flavor game, but there is so much more to come. Starting Monday, we are launching with our Sunday Pancakes flavor, pancake batter and maple flavored coffee. And every week from there you will experience a new flavor. We’re partnering up with a lot of awesome companies throughout this process.
Jeanniey Walden: Where did this idea come from and who is the taste tester of these flavors?
Lyndsey: The team is super hands-on, especially the tasting portion. We have an in-house quality control team. We do all of our research and development at our location in New Jersey. We work with our flavor house to bring in samples and do constant taste testing to see how far we can push the needle.
Jeanniey Walden: Have you tried the Sunday Pancakes?
Lyndsey: I have, yes. It is like breakfast in a cup.
Jeanniey Walden: Let’s talk about sugar and caffeine, what am I drinking?
Lyndsey: We have no sweeteners in our coffee. It is just coffee and flavoring in a standard K-cup, so you’re getting about 80 to 100 milligrams of caffeine.
Jeanniey Walden: Where can I find these?
Lyndsey: This activation will be available on javafactory.com and walmart.com. It’s going to take a bit to get into retail, so follow us online.
Jeanniey Walden: If I am new to coffee, what are the top three flavors to taste first?
Lyndsey: The fan favorite internally is blueberry shortcake. If you want more classic, we’ve got s’mores and French toast, which is a maple cinnamon. And then you can get wild with peanut butter and jelly or bananas and cream. Choose your adventure.
Jeanniey Walden: When do people drink these?
Lyndsey: Enjoy your morning cup and indulge as if it’s a dessert. If you’d like a coffee right before bed, go for it.
Jeanniey Walden: Lyndsey, thank you so much. I cannot wait to taste all 52 flavors and see you in the Guinness Book of World Records.
